Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information PersonalZap collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

PersonalZap is operated by PERSONALZAP PLT, a limited liability partnership registered in Malaysia (Registration No. 202604002848) ("PersonalZap", "we", "us"). We provide an AI assistant for small businesses. This Policy covers the personalzap.com website and the PersonalZap assistant service (the "Service"). For any privacy question, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

3. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Google user data

If you connect your Google Account, you choose which Google services PersonalZap may access. Depending on what you enable, this may include:

How we use Google user data

We use Google user data only to provide and improve the features you have asked for — for example, to draft a reply to an email, add an event to your calendar, or update a spreadsheet. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it. We do not allow humans to read your Google data except (a) with your explicit permission, (b) for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or (c) where required by law.

Files you choose

When you choose a file for your assistant, we keep the name of the file, its Google file ID and the Google account you chose it with, so your assistant knows which file you meant. Your files stay in your Google Drive. When you ask your assistant to work on one, it fetches that file to your own server to read it, and we never keep a copy of it on our own systems.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Sharing

To generate responses, the content needed for a task is sent to the AI model provider that powers your assistant. That provider processes the content on our behalf, under contract, and only to produce the result you requested. We share the minimum necessary.

Keeping or removing access

You can disconnect PersonalZap at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or from within the Service. We then stop accessing your Google data. To ask us to delete the Google data we hold, email [email protected] and we will delete it within 30 days.

5. When we share information

We never sell your personal information.

6. Information about your own customers

Your assistant works with information about other people — your customers, your suppliers, and anyone who emails you. That information is yours, not ours. You are responsible for it, and we handle it only on your instructions and only to provide the Service to you. Please make sure you have the right to share it with us before you ask your assistant to work on it.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is active. When you disconnect a connected account or delete your account, we delete or anonymise the associated data within 30 days, unless we are required to keep it for legal, tax or accounting reasons.

One exception: if we registered a domain name for you, your name, address and phone number stay on that domain's registration record until the domain expires or is transferred to you, because registries require accurate registrant details. We use our own email address as the contact on that record, so registry notices come to us. We remove your details once the domain is no longer registered by us.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and a separate workspace for each customer. No service can promise perfect security, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach where the law requires it.

9. Your rights and choices

If you are in the EU or UK, or in Malaysia under the PDPA, you may have additional rights. Contact [email protected] and we will respond within the time the law allows.

10. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser local storage — for example, to keep you signed in and to remember your currency choice. We do not use advertising cookies.

11. International transfers

We may process your information in countries other than your own. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for those transfers.

12. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above. If a change is material, we will tell you before it takes effect.
